The stadium for Craiova was a request of the local authorities. The project is a medium-sized sport facility specifically designed for athletics and football. It is being built for local competitions and trainings of the teams and sportsmen and can host up to 5 000 spectators.

The facility has all the necessary components to comply with the IAAF standards of sport facilities, for both indoor annexes and outdoor track and field facilities. It is a very complex construction with very different fluxes that should not interfere, the one of the spectators, both normal and VIP, the one for the athletes, the one of the media and the one for the personnel, such as the referees, the coaches and the sponsors.

It is a function for the city and its people which means everyone has to be able to and can access the facility, including people with disabilities, incorporating all the mandatory equipment. The area of the participating sportsmen is created for approximately 50 athletes and referees and also offers them all the mandatory spaces for their training.
